LELO Enigma Wave | Triple Stimulation Vibrator Review (Blog) AD

In 2021 I sang the praises of LELO’s Enigma, a fantastic dual-stimulation personal massager that was an elevation of their cult favourite, the Sona Cruise, with the addition of an internal stimulator that took my climax to a whole other level. So, when LELO sent me their new Enigma Wave, a triple stimulation massager infused with their WaveMotion technology, I could barely contain my excitement. A personal massager that fused together the very best elements of LELO, from the SenSonic suction of the Sona, the ergonomic dual stimulation design of the OG Enigma and now the WaveMotion technology that I experienced in their Soraya Wave (the first and only sex toy to give me a multiple orgasm). It’s essentially LELO’s greatest hits collated into one innovative pleasure device.

In this review I’ll take you through the specifications, what you get inside the box, my experience, my final thoughts and 5-star rating.

 UNBOXING

The packaging is LELO’s signature matte black box, engraved with the product information in chic foiled gold writing and a transparent window that displays the toy like a piece of jewellery. The LELO unboxing experience from start to finish is always sumptuous, from the soft release when lifting the lid, to removing the device from the foam insert.

In the box you get your Enigma Wave. Mine came in their gorgeous Cyber Purple shade with the hardware accent on the handle in a pretty violet-to-turquoise ombre in a satin matte finish. Along with your device you get a USB charging cable, branded storage bag (I’m big on my toys coming with storage bags), a complimentary sachet of LELO’s Personal Moisturiser, an information pamphlet with a QR code for you to scan and download the instruction manual and your LELO warranty registration card.

HOW TO USE IT

To turn the toy on, press and hold the central power button on their signature 3-button interface. All of the buttons are raised, so it’s easy to identify which one you are pressing without needing to see it -very useful for when you’re in the throes of passion and need to change things up without thinking too much, or if you are visually impaired or have a condition that doesn’t allow for you to look down. Once it’s on you can easily navigate your way through the 8 stimulating settings by pressing the central button, then using the + or buttons featured directly above and below the power/function button to increase or decrease the intensity of each one. To turn it off, press and hold the central button.

To charge your Enigma Wave, you will find a hole at the base of the handle to slot the cable into. As it’s a USB charger, you can plug it into anything that takes a USB cable.

 EXPERIENCE

I had every intention of taking my time with the Enigma Wave to get it to deliver the best orgasm possible, so before I began my solo adventure, I popped on some erotic audio from the Dipsea app to get myself in the mood. The evening’s tantalising tale of choice was a very hot and brooding vampire series, which I am thoroughly enjoying at the moment (Twi-Hard 4 Life!). Yes, I could have used some lube and gotten on with it (we do love a lube moment in this house), but I wanted to be at peak arousal. The reason for this being that when people with vulvas are aroused, it causes the clitoris to swell both internally and externally. This increases sensitivity, not only at the head of the clitoris (the part you can see when you take a gander at your pussoir), but also in the vestibule bulbs of the clitoris, which rest in an arch over your vaginal canal. When you are stimulated penetratively, the internal part of your clitoris is being stimulated too.

Once I was ready, I switched over to some of my favourite, unhinged male whimpering and moaning audios, because TikTok has ruined me. That’s a lie -I ruined myself, but the whimpering audios on that app only encourages my behaviour.

The g-spot stimulator is the prefect size. It’s not so big to the point that you will struggle to put it in, nor is it so small that you can’t feel its presence inside of you. The flexible neck of it arcs up into a hook, working with your personal anatomy to achieve the most pleasurable position for g-spot stimulation and allowing you to fix the suction stimulator over your clitoris. I love this feature because there have been times when I’ve used other dual-stimulators that have fixed positioning and the lack of flexibility has meant that I’ve had to choose which stimulator I desired more, because if one hit the spot, the other was out of reach. Very annoying.

The WaveMotion technology on the Enigma Wave is like a firm but gentle caress, stroking your insides like a lover who wants to take their time with you (similar to LELO’s Ida Wave). Though it has the same shape, it is different to the waving arm on the Soraya Wave, which has more of an apparent come-hither feel to it. What I also enjoyed about the design of the internal arm is that the hook holds the Enigma Wave in place, leaving your hands free to relax, roam over your body…or fiddle with your phone to change over to an even hornier but equally unhinged whimpering audio. This is also great for anyone with limited mobility, as once you find the position and setting you like, you don’t need to mess with it again until you’re done.

Bonus points: you don’t need to clamp it between your thighs either. My legs were open a majority of the time and it barely moved. Love that for us!

The come-hither motion of the g-spot stimulator, paired with the powerful vibrations of a separate motor inside of it, really takes the internal sensations over the edge, providing a deliciously satisfying feeling that harmonises perfectly with the third motor -the clitoral suction.

LELO’s clitoral suction functions eat every time! It really is one of the best on the market. The SenSonic technology means that the device doesn’t need to make direct contact with your clitoris for you to feel the sonic waves. The best way to describe the feeling is like being rapidly licked/sucked by a tiny powerful, magical mouth. It gets me where I need to be every time without fail.

This waving/sucking combo made me do something that I rarely do -I used ALL of the settings AND I didn’t hate any of them. I actually loved them all. Over on my IG stories recently, we’ve been discussing alternative uses of pattern settings on vibrators, like switching to them when you’re going to orgasm or using them to edge with. For those that don’t know, edging is a form of teasing that you can do solo or with a partner, where you repeatedly stimulate yourself almost to the point of climax and stop before it happens. The purpose of this is to build up your state of arousal for a more powerful orgasm once you finally give in. I tried both of these methods and I highly recommend that you give them a go #JusticeForPatternSettings.

My orgasm was long, strong and so deeply satisfying that after I switched the Enigma Wave off, I fell asleep with it still inside of me. I don’t recommend doing that, but I thought I’d mention it to illustrate just how good the orgasm was, because conking out after you’ve had one is a universal indicator of just how good it was.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I have no notes. There is absolutely nothing I would change about this toy; it is literal perfection -5 STARS!

I would recommend the Enigma Wave to those of you who have prior experience using toys as this will be a fantastic addition to your arsenal. If you’ve been thinking about buying the original Enigma, go for this version of it instead. The WaveMotion upgrade is a game changer to the point that my original Enigma will be having a lot of lonely nights for the foreseeable future (sorry, hun).

Luxury toys are good investment pieces because the quality is always top tier, they have innovative technology and they will last you (basically) forever, but they come with a luxury price tag too. If you feel like treating yourself (or sending this to someone so they can treat you *sprinkle sprinkle*) the Enigma Wave retails for £229.
