LELO Switch Double Ended Wand Review (Blog)
Every pleasure brand on the planet has a wand vibrator or two in their arsenal, so when faced with seemingly endless choices in an age where sex tech has come leaps and bounds, competition is stiff. As someone whose job it is to test sex toys in the hopes of steering you in the right direction when it comes to the best product for your salacious needs, at this point I’ve tested and received so many bloody wand vibrators that in order for me to take notice they have to be something special.
Enter something special.
Calling it their most versatile toy ever, the LELO Switch double ended wand massager is the latest erotic invention to join luxury toy maker, LELO’s litany of lust. Fully loaded with two motors that power the wand head for external play and the g-spot stimulator for internal play, the Switch dons 10 modes with 16 intensity settings, plus app-controlled technology to allow even further exploration and giving it advanced partnered play capabilities.
The thing that makes the Switch stand out to me and deem it worth yapping your ear off about is that these are not features you’re going to experience with a majority of wands on the market. So, if you’re looking for a high quality, multi-use, beginner friendly toy, read on to find out if the LELO Switch could be perfect for you.

My Experience
I am a firm believer that wand vibes are a must-have staple toy. That good old reliable that you can use in a multitude of ways no matter your gender or user experience level, from its standard handheld uses around your genitals and nipples or even as a body massager on you or your partner (fun fact: that was its original use before people realised it could bring them to orgasm), mounting it on top of a pillow to turn it into a rideable vibe, as additional stimulation during partnered sex (I’ve recently discovered forced orgasm belts, a BDSM tool in which a wand is strapped to your body…looks like fun!) or to turn static toys into vibrators. Wand vibrators cover so many bases, and the LELO Switch has amped this up tenfold.
I spent a week voraciously testing the Switch (my leap in sexual appetite partially due to drinking Ginseng tea -get into it!), spending some days with the external clitoral stimulator, others with the g-spot stimulator and on my last day I went full throttle and indulged in both ends in the same session. That climax hit so good that I didn’t see stars -the stars saw ME! The Switch also helped me unlock a new self-pleasure method, which I’ll get into in my pros and cons.
Pros
Due to how powerful they are, it is common for wands to be a bit noisy, so the biggest standout to me was how exceptionally quiet the Switch was whilst maintaining full-bodied power levels. This is great news for those of you who live with other people and worry about your personal moments being overheard. It starts off whisper quiet and naturally as you climb the intensity scale it does get louder, but nothing crazy. I tended to stay within the first 3 levels, finding them strong enough to fulfil my needs.
LELO’s signature 3-button interface makes it easy to navigate their devices which significantly reduces the amount of fumbling you partake in whilst the vibrator is in use. Each button has a raised sign so that you can identify what you are pressing, which also makes it more accessible for some people with disabilities.
The textured surface on adds another element of pleasure to the toy, with the peaks and valleys of each swirling rib feel amazing alongside the vibration as you move it against yourself. I particularly enjoyed this when using it externally. Another thing I liked about the design was the soft finish of the silicone they used, because dust/lint doesn’t stick to it.
Out of principle, I’m always here for a toy that is USB rechargeable for the simple fact that after I’ve gone and bought a sex toy, I don’t then want to have to constantly keep buying batteries to power it. I’d rather plug it in and wait for no extra charge. The USB charging capabilities also enables this toy to be waterproof for those of you who enjoy a shower or bath with benefits.
This next pro also doubles a con…let me land. Like most people with vulvas, it is harder for me to orgasm via internal stimulation alone, particularly if I’m riding solo, so I’m not easily drawn to internal stimulators unless they’re of the dual-stimulation kind, like the LELO Soraya Wave. The g-spot vibrator on the Switch was a learning curve for me. I played with trying to go deeper with it and employing the twist and thrust technique that I used with the LELO Gigi 3, but those techniques weren’t delivering what I needed. I noted that the g-spot stimulator had a tapered swell to it and decided to try shallow thrusting, which is a technique where you stimulate near the entrance as the first 2-3inches of the vaginal canal are highly sensitive. BINGO! I’d never tried this technique with a toy before and I’m glad using the Switch prompted me to because I feel like I’ll have a better time with internal toys now.
Cons
This con is specific to me and might be to some of you, so I thought I’d mention it. Another factor that helps with internal stimulators for me, is if they are textured. The Switch has the swirled ribbing, but my personal tastes require the textures to be more apparent. I didn’t find it noticeable internally as I did with the external wand head.
A note for cleaning the toy (kind of a con, but not really) is that whilst the general surface area is easy to clean, the gold panel will require you to use a designated toothbrush or something of that manner to get in the crevices as bodily fluids can gather there.
That’s really it as far as the cons go. There’s nothing inherently bad about this wand toy so I think it will come down to your personal tastes. With that being said, let’s wrap this up with who this toy is and isn’t for.
Recommendations
If you have experience with sex toys and you’re looking for a whisper quiet, high quality, beginner friendly staple, unisex toy that you can use alone or with a partner, with advanced app capabilities, the LELO Switch double ended vibrator is for you. If you have never used a sex toy before, even though you could use it, this is not what I would recommend for your very first one. Start off with something small and cheap to see if you even like toys first and then perhaps come back to this.
